Darriel Hoy is an ordained minister who has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 18 years in the roles of pastor, community ministries director, associate youth director, and youth director. She enjoys creative ministry, youth ministry, and community engagement.  Her motto for ministry is to reach the people no one else has reached, we must do the ministry no one else is doing.

Elder Hoy calls both Yazoo City, Mississippi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana home. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from Duke University and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Seventh-day Adventist Seminary at Andrews University. Prior to denominational employment, she worked as a field organizer for the Children’s Defense Fund & the Black Student Leadership Network. Elder Hoy serves the Office of Regional Conference Ministries and the Regional Conference Retirement Plan as Communications Director.
