Melonie Gurley joined the Office for Regional Conference Ministry team in February 2020 as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. 

Melonie’s denominational employment spans 12 years.  She’s held human resources, training & development, teaching, and administrative support roles at Oakwood University, Adventist Risk Management, and Huntsville First Seventh-day Adventist Church.   

In addition to her work for the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Melonie worked for 13 years in various professional capacities in the government, private business, and non-profit sectors.  She thrives on engaging her gifts, knowledge, and skills to increase leadership and team capacity to better deliver on organizational mission. 

Melonie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Athens State University and a Master of Science in Organizational Development & Strategic Human Resources from the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business. 

Melonie is a native of Huntsville, AL where she resides with her son, Noah and her mother, for whom she serves as primary care giver.
