Speakers and executive leaders of the Alabama Religious Freedom Alliance Council.
On October 31, 2025, the Alabama Religious Freedom Alliance, in partnership with Oakwood University’s Pre-Law Program, made history, hosting its first-ever Religious Freedom Summit at the Office of Regional Conference Ministries.
Attorneys whose expertise is in the US Constitution and the 1st Amendment presented foundational and instructional knowledge about the progress and continued work of our nation within the context of religious liberty and freedom.
The summit began with an opening address from the event organizer, Attorney Justin Miller of Schaerr Jaffe LLP, on the importance of religious liberty and freedom in our society. The keynote address was given by the Hon. Andrew L. Brasher, Circuit Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
The event culminated in a diverse panel of religious leaders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Seventh-day Adventist churches. With over 150 attendees from around the country, the Religious Summit was a great success. Continuing Legal Education credit was given to all attorneys in attendance.
Thank you, Office of Regional Conference Ministries, for hosting this historic event.
