On Saturday, November 13, 2021, Elder Cryston Josiah, Central States Conference Vice-President for Administration, and Elder Kimberly Bulgin, Pastor of the New Beginnings Seventh-day Adventist Church, were guests on the Office for Regional Conference Ministries 1st Sabbath live stream. We enjoyed a candid conversation about leading change and Central States Conference’s journey to women’s ordination.
Key to Central States Conference constituents’ approval of women’s ordination was the education tour by the leadership. Central States administrators held town hall meetings in the five regions of the Conference. During the town hall meetings, Elder Cryston Josiah shared an abbreviated version of the Theology of Ordination Report by the Bible Research Committee of the North American Division. Eighty-three percent (83%) of Central States Conference constituents voted in favor of women’s ordination.
The 1st Sabbath viewing audience requested Elder Josiah’s PowerPoint Presentation. Both Elder Josiah’s PowerPoint summary and the entire Theology of Ordination Report by the Bible Research Committee can be accessed below:
