JeNean Lendor Voted As Lake Region Conference Communications Director

On Thursday, October 28th, the LRC Executive Committee voted JeNean Lendor to serve as the full-time Communication Director of the Lake Region Conference starting January 1, 2022.

JeNean Lendor is a product of Christian education. She attended Pine Forge Academy and Oakwood University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Public Relations. She also earned a minor in Art. She then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Television Production and Communication Arts from the City University New York Institute of Technology.

JeNean has worked as a producer, director, event consultant, and photographer for several corporations and ministries, including The Sesame Workshop, Breath of Life Television Ministries with the late Dr. Walter L. Pearson Jr., General Conference Communications, North American Division Communications, Adventist Media Productions, Allegheny East Conference Media, Atlantic Union Adventist Media and Praizevision.

The Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists employed JeNean in 2005 as an administrative assistant to the Youth Department. In 2012 she was elected by the Northeastern Conference constituents as the first female layperson to serve as the Communication Director and Assistant to the President for Communications.

During this time, she enhanced the information relationship between the conference headquarters, the global Church organizations, and the field through print and visual media. She developed branding solutions for conference ministry departments and has provided communication training to local church leaders and pastors. She also served as a moderator for the BAYDA National Bible Bowl Association, a staff director for Camp Victory Lake, and an advisor to numerous Union and Conference events and production.

Upon accepting the position as Communication Director of the Lake Region Conference, she shares, “it’s with a thankful heart and humility that I take on this extraordinary opportunity. I know it’s only with God are these things possible.” JeNean desires to use her God-given gifts and talents to serve others and show the love of Jesus in creative, practical, and life-changing ways.

JeNean is married to Pastor Neville Lendor, who has also accepted the assignment to serve as the senior pastor of the Detroit City Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church.
