The Office for Regional Conference Ministries (ORCM) and the Regional Conference Retirement Plan (RCRP) recently held their board meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Trevor Kinlock, President of the Allegheny East Conference, opened the sessions with a powerful devotional grounded in the Book of Amos. His message challenged us to reflect on the present and future of our regional work, encouraging us to move forward in unity, guided by faith and purpose.
On the second day of these three-day meetings, Dr. Toussaint Williams, Executive Secretary of the South Central Conference, reminded us of God’s power to embrace our past and transform our future. His devotional, centered on Rahab’s story, showed how faith can rewrite our lives and give us purpose.
Ms. Yvonne Collins, CFO of the Retirement Plan, led the worship time on the final day, reminding us of Nehemiah’s unwavering focus on God’s mission. She emphasized that God grants us favor, calls us to share, and charges us to lead with optimism. Elder Collins highlighted that a true spiritual leader brings people back to God—motivating, equipping, and staying mission-focused.
The meetings were attended by key representatives from ORCM and RCRP, including board members from regional conferences across the country. In addition to deep discussions and planning, a defining element of our RCRP and ORCM board meetings is worship and prayer. May the Holy Spirit continue to lead us as we strive to shape the future of our regional work.
