Churches within the South Atlantic Conference have not re-opened since closing in mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Let us be absolutely clear. We still believe that this virus has a high probability of being spread, especially in large gatherings such as worship services and funerals.
Bearing this in mind, attendance at the service for Pastor Walter L. Pearson, Jr. on Monday, June 15, 2020 will be restricted to 100 people. The South Atlantic Conference nor the Atlanta Berean church will risk exposing the Pearson family and the program participants to possible infection. All municipal social distancing guidelines and crowd size restrictions will be closely adhered to.
We ask that you not plan to attend the service in person but instead tune in to the live streaming provided by the Berean church (atlantaberean.com).
