Congratulations to Elder Debleaire Snell, the new Senior Pastor of the Oakwood University Church! The South Central Conference Executive Committee voted to assign Pastor Debleaire Snell to serve the Oakwood University Church as its 22nd Senior Pastor. Elder Snell follows Dr. Carlton P. Byrd, who accepted a call to the Southwest Region Conference as President. Pastor Snell recently served as Senior Pastor of the two campuses of the First Seventh-day Adventist Church (First Church and “The Bridge”) in Huntsville, Alabama. His dynamic ministry has enhanced the members and the community over the past eleven years. Pastor Snell was also named as the Speaker / Director – elect of the Breath of Life Ministries in July.
Pastor Snell has served South Central Conference since 1999. He has pastored the Salem SDA Church in Columbus, MS; Lee Memorial SDA Church in West Point, MS; Lima Drive SDA Church in Lexington, KY; and First SDA Church of Huntsville, AL. Pastor Snell is married to the love of his life, the former Giana Norman of Nashville, TN. Pastor and Mrs. Snell have three gifted, miracle children!
