Mrs. Sabrina Cotton DeSouza
Mrs. Sabrina Cotton DeSouza was recently elected to serve as the Associate Treasurer for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. This election comes after Mrs. DeSouza served as Vice President for Financial Administration and Chief Financial Officer for Oakwood University for 21 years.
Upon graduating from Southern Adventist University, Mrs. DeSouza began her ministry in 1989 as an auditor for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. After serving there for seven years, she was called to what was then Oakwood College as Chief Accountant.
She ascended the Oakwood financial departmental hierarchy through various promotions-Assistant Vice President, Controller, etc., until 2002, when she became Vice President for Finance. She served as Oakwood Chief Financial Officer until her election as General Conference Associate Treasurer a few months ago.
In addition to her Bachelors Degree from Southern, Mrs. DeSouza holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama.
Married to John DeSouza, they are the proud parents of Brandon and Brianna.
