The Office for Regional Conference Ministries (ORCM) and the Regional Conference Retirement Plan (RCRP) recently completed their American Red Cross CPR and AED recertification training. Staff members first took this training in 2023 and participated again this year to renew their certification.
During this two-hour class, participants refreshed their knowledge on using an automated external defibrillator (AED) to help save lives. AEDs are portable devices designed to restore a normal heart rhythm in individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
The training also certified all participants in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), equipping them with the skills to assist someone struggling to breathe. CPR is a life-saving technique that combines chest compressions and rescue breathing to circulate oxygen and blood throughout the body.
All participants received a certification card, valid for two years.
