Building Community Through Worship: A Recap of Tuesday’s Online Gathering

by Priscila Pancorbo

On Tuesday, as part of the ongoing Unity Conference Worship series, the Office for Regional Conference Ministries (ORCM) and the Regional Conference Retirement Plan (RCRP) joined with the Central States Conference for a special online worship experience focused on connection, inspiration, and shared mission.

The featured speaker for the event was Ms. Kelley Paris, Vice President of Finance for the Central States Conference, who delivered a powerful message centered on the Sabbath School. Drawing from the question posed by Isaac—“Where is the lamb?”—Paris traced the biblical narrative that points to Jesus as the Lamb of God. She highlighted how Scripture, from Genesis through Revelation, uses symbols and prophecy to unveil the ultimate Substitute: Jesus. Her message emphasized the hope found in knowing that in both judgment and daily life, believers are never alone—because the Lamb has taken their place.

In addition to the spiritual message, attendees received timely updates from Dr. William Cox, Executive Director of the Regional Conference Retirement Plan. Dr. Cox provided essential information about retirement matters, addressing key concerns and offering clarity for future planning.

Elder Dana C. Edmond, Executive Director of ORCM, also addressed the group, explaining the heart behind these monthly gatherings. Designed for individuals who may not be able to attend every regular meeting, these worship sessions offer a space to connect on a deeper level—putting faces to names, strengthening relationships, and fostering unity across regional ministries.

Tuesday’s worship was a clear reflection of the spirit of collaboration among these organizations. By coming together in worship and fellowship, they continue to build a stronger, more connected community—one rooted in shared faith, mutual support, and a commitment to mission.
