Q&A Session with the Regional Presidents at the Ministry Connection.
Ministry Connection was a success, with attendance continuing to grow. This event was initially created to connect Regional Conferences with Oakwood University theology students. However, in the last three editions, students from business and education also participated.
This year, the Ministry Connection event began with the Regional Conference officers preaching in local Huntsville churches on Sabbath.
On Tuesday evening, students had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with the Regional Presidents. During this session, students engaged with leaders on topics such as hiring expectations, challenges for older graduates, balancing ministry with personal life, and the increasing influence of Hispanic ministers in the church.
As a highlight of the event, students had the chance to participate in a 25-minute interview with Regional Presidents, CFOs, and Education Superintendents. These interviews provided a valuable opportunity to practice real job interviews, and many of these meetings led to actual hirings.
The event concluded with a meal where presidents, officers, and the Education Superintendents spent quality time engaging with Oakwood University students and faculty members.
The Office of Regional Conference Ministries was honored by this long-standing partnership with Oakwood University, which motivated students to continue supporting the Regional Work within our church.
